TIGERSECU H.264 and H.265 2MP and 5MP DVR Firmware Updates

This firmware will update your system to V20200514 (H.265 DVRs) or V20200520 (H.264 DVRs) which provides the following improvements:

  1. Fixed P2P remote connection feature. Enabled auto restart of P2P connection.
  2. Fixed macOS Catalina 64 bit compatibility.
  3. Fixed PTZ touring feature.
  4. Enhanced DVR system’s security capabilities. 

Security note:

To ensure your ongoing privacy, we strongly recommend creating your own password from the all-access default password as soon as possible, if you have not already done so. Choose something that you’ll remember, but that others would be unlikely to guess.  

Change your password at DVR Main menu > Configuration menu > User > Admin: Edit > Password Setup.

How to select the appropriate firmware version for your DVR?

1. The DVR codec standard (H.265 or H.264 (shown as P2P)) will be printed on a sticker and can be found on the underside of the DVR, as highlighted in the images below:

 

2. The DVR resolution (2MP or 5MP) and channel-size can be found on the front side of the DVR, as highlighted in the image below:

      Hi Donald,

      Thank for your question.

      Please insert your USB flash drive to your computer and format it to FAT32 first.

      Then, please try it on the two USB slots both on the DVR backboard. If needed, you may reboot the DVR and try again.

      Next, go to the DVR Main menu > HDD Menu > USB flash drive to check whether it is recognized or not.

      If you are using the USB flash drive to upgrade the DVR firmware but the DVR doesn’t read the firmware file, please make sure you download the correct firmware file for your DVR Model and unzip it, copy and paste the .fw file into the USB flash drive.

    when I connect to the DVR it automatically shows all 16 camera ports. But I only have 9 cameras, is there a way to make in default to 9 camera ports?

      Hi Paul,

      Thanks for your question!

      You may go to the Menu Bar, choose Multi-channel Division, and you will be able to select 9 channel display.
