Question: Are external hard drives supported by TIGERSECU DVR and NVR systems? What’s the maximum capacity of the supported hard drive?

No, TIGERSECU DVR and NVR systems do not support external hard drives. We recommend using WD Purple 3.5-inch internal surveillance hard drives for TIGERSECU security systems. Additionally, Toshiba and Seagate internal surveillance hard drives are also supported.

Supported Internal Hard Drive Capacity:

  • The maximum capacity for each supported internal hard drive is 16TB.

Channel-Specific Configurations:

  • 16-Channel DVR and NVR: Supports up to two internal hard drives.
  • 4-Channel and 8-Channel DVR and NVR: Supports only one internal hard drive.
